Who
is Ronete Cohen has a Master's degree in psychology from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and is a member of NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen) and of VKJP (Vereniging voor Kinder- en Jeugdpsychotherapie). Her fields of expertise are educational, developmental and adolescent psychology. Having carried out research on the subject of metacognitive skills, she specialises in the practical application of the methods developed in research for the treatment of educational problems. She was also part of a team set up to improve the quality of the academic education at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leiden. There she incorporated learning skills into course material, instructed lecturers on the structuring and the teaching of modules, and developed systems to ensure that the material taught matched what students were subsequently tested on, as well as systems to help pre-determine the complexity level of university exam questions. She is a native English speaker and is fluent in Dutch and in Hebrew. |
